Hey Guys,

Probably already know the answer to this. But the light in my Tachometer looks like has burnt out (before I owned the Hummer). I took out the tach to see if I can replace the light bulb but the gauge looks like it sealed. I think it just needs to be replaced to fix it but I'm not going to spend around $150 + to just replace it for a stupid bulb burnt out. Rest of it works fine.

Has anyone else had this issue / fixed this? My Hummer is a 98' Hummer Wagon.

 

I have the same problems with my 98 H1.
Did you figure it out.
I pulled the tachometer, but the light was not in the back of it like the clock.

Ya, I finally took the whole tach apart and replaced the LED inside. Requires a lot of patience and some soldering.

 

Patients and soldering are about the only skills I do have, so I'll give it a go. Thank you.

Gotcha, I looked at a really clean 98 black wagon in VA that had the same issue. Seller was a great guy and ended up selling the wagon shortly after I looked at it.
