Just wondering if anyone may be able to help with this.

I have all my gizmos connected in the H3. Satellite radio, GPS, fm transmitter for wifes Itouch. They all run off 12 volts. In our old vehicle, you start the car.....they all start. You turn the car off....they all stop.

Not the case in H3. You have to manually turn everything off as the 12V outlets (front two) are not switched power. Anyone know how to change them to switched power (basically when key is in ignition or vehicle is running?

You need to hard wire all your toys to a switched power source.I would hard wire your Satellite Radio and GPS. However is your GPS one that you carry as a hand held, or is it the touch screen type? If its touch screen you NEED to hardwire to help discourage theft.

 

That is the answer I didn't want to hear.....hard wireing. I hate wireing....but ok.

Most vehicles have switched vs on all the time option. Its a matter of moving a breaker from one location to another.

 

just re-wire the outlets not all the toys

 

just get a box, they sell 3 and 4 cig outlet and just plug all youe stuff in it and then u just have 1 to plug in and what i do is leave it in all the time and i just pull it out alittle till the power is cut and when i get in i just give it alittle push and boom power. i have a sat tuner box and i have it powered through the battery so when i turn on the engine it powers. my radar and gps is to a cig box so i only have to bother with one cig power outlet and its just alittle push and pull everytime

That's actually one of the things that I enjoy with the H3, the accessory outlets are constantly powered. Nothing sucks worse than when you need to charge your phone, but have to have the rig running to do it.
