when you redo marker light focus on the rubber plug, remove it, clean whole area with rubbing alchohol, and clean rubber plug, put a bead of silicone all around the hole and push rubber plug back into hole letting the silicone squeeze out the sides...let it dry just like that, and look where the wires come through the center of the rubber plug, mine had a tear there and had to put silicone there as well

I think I got it.
I couldnt take off marker lights as for fear I may damage them because of all of the RTV I put on there.
When I need to change a bulb, I'll tackle that project.
But what I did was where the roof racks slide in their tracks, right before the marker lights, there is a drainage hole for water to flow into. I made a dam with RTV - I didnt block the hole in case I needed to clear it out for some reason.
So a light shower hit, and vehicle is dry. When we get a torrential rain storm, I will know if it works for sure.
