I bought a Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8 2 ohm subwoofer to replace the factory sub in my 2007 with the monsoon system. There are two terminals in each end of the subwoofer. I looked in the manual and it talks about wiring them in sequence or parallel. I've never heard of this and I have no idea which would give me better sound with the stock 6CD head unit with the factory monsoon amplifier. If someone could explain the difference in how it affects the sound based on the different wiring scenarios, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

When I removed the back panel I remembered that there are two black and two red wires coming from the amp. Should I have run a black and a red wire to the connectors on one side of the sub and the other black and red to the connectors on the other side of the sub? I just twisted them together and put them on one side of the sub. Seems like an obvious answer but I want to make sure before I do anything and seal anything up.

You are kidding right? That's like having 2 speakers and replacing them with 1 and just twisting the wires together and shoving them in the hole!

You bought a dual voice coil subwoofer to replace a dual coil subwoofer.
You take the wires off of the old one and put them on the new one in the same EXACT place.
Red means positive, Black means negative. Just like it's marked on the old AND new subwoofer.
