Default Strange noise from Pass. side Airbag??

Hello... Just started hearing a strange growling ticking noise coming from under the passenger side airbag, can hear it very good when dropping the glovebox and listening from there. Sounds like a ticking time bomb that has a grinding growling pitch to it....has anyone experience this too, have tried turning off the pass. airbag but comes back soon after start up. Going to try disconnecting the battery for a reset. Is the airbag system under warranty even though its a 2003 vehicle?

Its not the airbag, likely its the hvac recirc door actuator

Nice.. I'll have to look deeper into it, I'll use a long screwdriver as a listening device and try to isolate it. Thanks

There's a plastic tab that keeps the glove box from falling open. If you push it so the glove box falls down you can put your hand in there and feel for the vibes.

Yeah, I did that, I could feel and hear the noise very good just haven't pinpointed it yet, not sure what in the airbag would make that noise. Will go out later and try to locate exactly where its coming from. Kinda confused though, the noise comes and goes, turned off the AC/heater and the noise continues, turned off the airbag switch still there, but then again the noise is not always there at start but will come back later in driving?? I'm kinda leaning toward the Recirc door like HUMTECH suggested since its close to the airbag.

try changing recirc mode when its doing it. if it changes from fresh air to recirc or vise versa which will be noticeable by the sound of airflow changing and noise stops, you found issue. If mode doesn't change still recirc door is issue. If mode changes and noise is constant during change then its somewhere else.

Thanks... I disconnected the battery for about an hour while I changed the oil, afterward ran it to see if the noise came back, so far so good. Ran around town today, still no noise. Hoping reset does the trick but if it comes back will try the recirc modes to see if that's the problem. Now have find out why the rear loses pressure, have checked for leaks, can't find any. It only happens very seldom, again with no consistency, as soon as it starts it pumps right up.
