I'm sorry, don't want you to think that "I'm against you on this". Was just what I was getting out of it. I think that Alrock is right, when you get your issues resolved you will love it, it really is fun to own and drive.
solarflare, good luck with it all. Sounds like the real Hummer dealer two hours away is taking care of you.
Hey, at least now you can start committing to those accessories you want!

rhill20, I don't think you are against me in any way.....It's good to get everyone's opinion on everything.....that way you are sure to see all the points of view....
The dealership did call today....after I received the first offer....which I didn't accept.....
We are working on another deal.....they are going to talk to the owner of the dealership to see if he will help me out........I should hear back on Monday....

Solar, we are pulling for you. If we can/could help in anyway let us know and please let us know what they come back with. If they don't take care you you be sure Hummer knows what a $hitty dealer they are.
Some things to consider:
Regardless of the number of miles on the vehicle it is used once you have signed the contract and it becomes binding (3 days in most states). Its market value has changed.
It's no longer eligible for rebates or special financing. GM is no longer covering the dealers financing (while it sits on the lot). The dealer will have to sell it at a lower price not only to make up for this, but to entice a buyer to buy used instead of new. In the business you see this with dealership demos that have a few miles but are still technically new as far as the sale goes with the exception of the start date and mileage of the warranty.
This said, your dealer is not trying very hard to work with you. The fact that they quoted you MSRP on the Alpha shows this. Work all your negotiations based on invoice.
I don't understand why they would tell you after you bought yours that they now had the Alpha if they knew that's what you wanted. It would have been in there best interest to sell you the Alpha initially as there is more money in it for them.... and they wouldn't have pissed off a customer. At the same time, I don't understand why, if you wanted the Alpha, you didn't buy it in the first place. I'm sure that in less than a week your dealer could have gotten one on a dealer transfer and would have only cost you $200 - $500. Were you in that much of a rush to buy? When I bought my H3, it was a dealer transfer and since they knew my other vehicle had been totaled, they gave me a loner to drive for a week (not something I would expect from a dealer, but it was appreciated).
-You're going to be upside-down on this deal no matter how good they make it.
-Your best option would be to find somebody to take over your lease.
-If there is a Car Max in your area get them to make you an offer.
-If not, see what you can get for a trade in value on yours at another dealership.
-Unless they come back with a better price on the Alpha, give up on this dealership. I won't say they are taking advantage of you because you are female, but they are playing the game and you aren’t doing very well at it.
Don't take this the wrong way, the dealership isn't playing nice, but I do think you are expecting more than you should. Your best bet is to keep the one you have for a couple years then get whatever you want at that point. If you are planning on continuing to lease vehicles and start out this much upside down, it will only get worse.

To answer some of your questions....
I would of liked to buy an Alpha in the first place. I was told they didn't have one with the off road package or nav, which were two things that I would of liked to have. Also they didn't have much color choice.
I wasn't in a rush to buy, but they backdated the paperwork so that I could get the extra $1K rebate that ended on Jan 2nd. They did a search, but there are not that many Alpha's with the off road package available in this neck of the woods. Unfortunately, this is the only dealer for the whole state of Maine....so I really don't have a choice unless I want to drive over 4 hours to get to another one.
Car Max....hmmm....I don't believe we have any of those in this state.
I'm working with the dealership now.....I should hear back tomorrow. I told them that I want the new Alpha for invoice, minus their holdback, minus the $1550 in rebates. That would make the Alph $39,777.00. Plus they need to come up on mine about $1937.00 from the $32000.00 that they offered me earlier. That way it will wash the inequity that I have on mine.
If they don't do that....then I'm not interested. So technically I'll be a tiny bit still upside down....but nothing that would affect me in the long run....I'll probably lease, because the payment would be to high for me otherwise....and if I pay off the lease payments early, then I will save approx. $4-5K in interest, than running out the lease payments. I might end up keeping this one, so it doesn't matter on the mileage to me.....
I think it may work......what do you think??? Good deal if they do what I said above???

Brandi: Those lease payment terms are really F'd up to be honest.
Not to air my personal crap in a public forum, but I'll just tell you anyway. My lease payments on my truck are $440 and my buyout is only $15. I think I payed either $27k to &28k for mine. I think it was more around $27.5 because I had a GM discount. I don't understand how they say you can get the truck for around $30 and have $700 payments and a buyout of $26k that' is the most rediculous thing I have EVER heard. Would would they have a buyout price that almost totals the entire price of the vehicle? Did I misunderstand your post? If those numbers are true, my only comment is WTF are they smoking over there??? [:@]

I think you may of misunderstood. The H3 I have now is $543.00 per month which = $21,177.00 and my buyout is $23,000.00 and some change. This is at 5%. If I pay off my payments early and save interest I will save a little over $4000.00. So if I keep my H3 that I have now, and did a buyout at the end it would cost me: $40,177.00. It's just like a regular loan, if you keep your vehicle and pay all your payments over time, it would actually cost about $6000.00 more in interest. Interest rates up here for perfect credit are 8%
I think it also depends on where you live....GM offers different packages depending on your zone. I ran into this with my Dodge Ram Rumble Bee....I bought it in MO and had it brought back to me, but because I bought in MO, I received a much better interest rate, but didn't qualify for an extra $500 rebate, that I would of got up here in Maine. So go figure.....it's crazy...to me everything should be the same no matter where you live....

I understand now. I read it when I was half-asleep.
I don't know if this will make you feel any better (probably not) but at least you'll be getting some business from me ie; Hummer upgrades
I'll PM you about it later today. We have some business to discuss
