Default stock tire to 37"

hi, some questions about 08 H2
can i use stock rims and switch to 37/12.5 tires?
do i have to lift?
if i like to lift 3-4 inches, what kind of lift kit you recommend?
i was advised 2.5 front , 2 " in the back would be sufficient
thanks

I'd go for a bulletproof lift, as it's reversible. In case you want to ever return to stock, it's easier. Rancho etc, i believe you need to cut and weld.

Also, if you're going for a lift, you might as well go for it properly

37x12.5 will fit w/o modification.
You may have to crank your T-bars a hair if there's slight rubbing, but that's it. If you are looking for even larger tires, a few posters here have done body lifts & gotten away with 38" tires. The stock wheels will be fine up to a 13.5" wide tire (assuming you don't have air ride. With a 13.5, I believe there might be a little rubbing.

The 6" bulletproof, according to the website, can be adjusted w/o aftermarket keys, to achieve 8" of lift. It claims you can put 40s underneath. I feel that a lit with 37s will look dinky. You'll want some meat underneath to fit the look. You'll most likely want a 38x15.5 or 40x15.5.

I had 37" tires on my 6" Lifted (Fabtech) and the tires looked too small...had to sell and get 40" tires...

Default thanks for ideas

thanks for the input. most likey, i will get 38/13.5 or/15.5 for hunky look
but, how it will affect the performance ( considering magnaflow, diablo T1000 tuner, KN intake installed) ?
i prefer no more than 3" lift. can i put 38" /13.5/17 without rubbing?
if i opt for 38/15.5 what should i do to prevent rubbing. ?
and which rims would you advice for 38/13. 5 or 38/15.5 tires?
thanks in advance

Others more qualified can answer about the lift, but would steer clear of the KN intake. I think you'd be better off with an airraid / airdoc and the factory box or a volant box.
I've seen the K&N style induction kits, and i think it would end up just drawing hot air in.
Alternative source for a tuner is blackbear performance.

You may spacers to run 15.50 but a lot has to do with wheel backspacing ...I have wheel spacers...don't recall backspacing, 6" lift 40x15.50 40 tires and at full turn I rub...as far as performance I suggest gearing the vehicle...the 4:88 gears I had installed made a night and day difference
