I'm starting to get to know my '06 H2 that I've owned for only two days. Can some one please tell me how to replace the bulbs in the steering wheel radio control switch? I'm so afraid of fiddling near the air bag because of all the horror stories I've heard over the years. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

 

Unfortunately, you CANNOT replace the bulbs, you actually have to replace the whole button itself....Yeah, I know...WTF??

Should still be under the BUMPER TO BUMPER, No???

If NOT, buy from Gene...great guy...

HummBob, thanks for the quick reply. It still is covered under the factory bumper to bumper so I'll be taking it in to the dealer. Should I bring it to a Hummer dealer or can any GM dealer do the repair? Thanks Again!!

 

Any GM dealer CAN do it, it's whether or not they're WILLING. Also, a non-HUMMER dealer is highly unlikely to have the part in stock. I'd call the dealer before going if it's non HUMMER I'd also go with a Cadillac dealer first, since they're also part of GM's premium channel and more likely to have better customer service. Then I'd try GMC or Chevy Good luck!
