Default Steering problem

Hi everyone,

I've read great things about this site, hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction prior to a mechanic visit.

The other day i was turning left into a store going probably about 5 - 7 miles an hour. Suddenly i hear and feel a pop in my steering wheel and I loose control of the vehicle. Luckily i'm able to break and stop the vehicle, however, i have no control of my steering. When i turn the steering wheel to the left or right, the wheels remain stationary and will not move. I saw no fluid on the ground or part that could have possibly feel off.

Without viewing the vehicle i know i won't receive a proper diagnosis, but has anyone had similar issues?

A tie rod probably broke. You need to get it to a front end shop for inspection and repairs. You are lucky it broke in a parking lot.
