Im gonna probably try to get the things i need for it tonight and then tomarrow actually do it ill try to use the neighbors pressure washer, so all i need is foaming engine degreaser, scotch brite pads green and gray, and a soft bristle brush right?

 

That doesn't look that bad, but the pressure washer isn't going to take it off. I have barely ridden my 2006 LTZ400 and the engine is slightly stained like yours and it doesn't want to come off with my pressure washer. So, let me know the outcome so I can get it cleaned up. I'm going to sell it in a month or so.

 

One thing I've found - the engine degreasers that call for a warm engine seem to work better for me than those that are applied cold. Just my two cents there. . . [/align]

 

I guess it looks alot worse in person, the engine is all grimy and has build up ill try the fix tomarrow

 

I can't think of the name of it.. but wal-mart has something in a purple gallon jug... that stuff is better than simple green.

I've used that to soak parts in overnight the last time I changed an engine in a big truck.

 

greased lightning? that stuff is prety good...we used it at the bowling alley for all the part cleaning
