Don't you have to be a member of THCI to go to one of their events? I am so it has never been an issue for me but seems like you have to be.

 

Yes.. you have to pay the yearly dues... and the event fees...

The event we are going to this weekend isn't theirs... we just want to prerun it...

 

I actually was watching for a date to surface on the Hummer Club website for the PA event (it just says June). Is there any additional information on the event such at a web homepage? I am interested in attending the event and getting a HOPE off road endorsement as well. I will be coming from the new england area so maybe a group can meetup and head down.

 

The event flier should say if they are doing Hope Trail EndoresementCertifications. That is only part of the HOPE process. ( Red Cross first aid certification, drivers history check, ins. card, DL, etc ) It is worthwhile to get. I've been called a couple of times but not yet actually used in any emergency yet.

 

I have the whole process finished except for the Off-Road Certification part. It doesnt seem like there will be any other chance to get itwithin driving distance(assuming that it is offered).

THCI hasn't been at Rausch... they used to go to Paragon... BUT... if you check out the wheeling 101 thread in the mets forum... there are plenty of pictures if you follow the links posted by jayster...

 

looks like fun......I don't think I'll take the Alpha on to many of the trails though.........my rig is a tar queen for now....LOL!

Muddy, I know!!!! but I need an H2 to do a lot of that type of stuff.....!!!!! I don't think the 3 would handle it to well.
