So my hunt continues for a H1.....this will now be my 4th H1 that I will be looking at. Ill do a recap for everyone. The first H1 was a 95 with the diesel engine in it. The pictures looked nice, the guy told me there was nothing wrong other then a small rust spot on it....then when I get there, its a lemon with rust all over it, spedo doesnt work, seats are messed up, DOESNT SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR!! So I walk away from that one. So I find a 93 in mint condition in AZ. No rust, tan in color, deisel with the 3spd trani....with 35000 miles on it. I figure if I can get finaced for a 95 a 93 will be no problem....WRONG....since NADA doesnt have a high value of this truck I cant get finaced for it....so the hunt continued. So I jump on ebay and find a 95 with a 350 in it. 4 speed trani, open top in great condition. I was going to go down this Saturday and drive it back....I talked to the guy and set everything up, get financed...EVERYTHING IS SET....and I talked to him last night and he wants to keep the H1. So my epic search continues.................someone want to make a movie deal with me....I think this epic search could be as good as Star Wars....lol

 

Sounds like your having more trouble than I did... alot more! heh I spent about 6 months looking around when I was looking for my H1 then finally found one in my price range already in CANADA. Was very hard to find an already imported one that was not outrages on their price. Once I did went there paid 10 times more on the deposit to get it off ebay and still didnt come off till I told him that deposites and their contracts are legally binding etc etc finally came off the ebay market then I had a hard time with financing/leasing due to noone wanting the "ASSET" etc etc even with over 50% down was having trouble. finally found a company willing to do a lease and when I took the 3 hour drive out there to finish all the paperwork their systems were down and couldnt get the paper work printed off had to wait there for like 5 hours till they were back up and finally filled out the paper work and was gone... then when I went to pick it up only 2 tires were changed when all 4 should have been replaced took about 6 months and a ticket before they finally came in... but almost a year now and still waiting on the mirror...
But now that its all said and done I LOVE IT! soooo worth the wait, time and many hours/nights of missed sleep.

So yea even though my story isnt as bad as yours just the moral is dont give up on something that you truely want because in the end it will all pay off!

 

Thanks Injunfarian. My coworkers keep telling me to just keep a Jeep....I tell them I DONT WANT A JEEP! I had a Jeep when I was 18, and all I wanted then was a H1....now im at a spot in my life I can get one, so I know what I want. I know my price range wont get anything plush, but im a simple person. So yup, im going to keep shopping, keep looking and im going to find a H1 thats in my price range that I want.
