And so, it ends.......
jdrew's preference remains Nancy, as he always preceeds his text messages to me with either "Nancy", "Hey Nancy" or "How are you doing Nancy" unless of course he has some transexual lover named Nancy.....
Ok. Enough of that.
Thanks Doc. You have obviously forgiven my old man jokes and wisecracks and supported me. I will be sure to protect you from sand mites at the dunes now.
Last night was a LOONNNGGG night. You guys may have remembered this first phase of my de-modding a few weeks ago:

Well, the stuff I took out last night is about double that, literally....
I didn't realize how much crap I installed. After my original post, I also removed the Clarion TV Tuner module and remote receiver, RCA FM Modulator, AC/DC Power Inverter, TomTom GPS Docking station and external roof antenna, DC Interference Filter, KITT Knight Rider lights control module, remote power switcher for KITT lights, and I think there was something else but I don't remember.
I had so much crap in there at one point I forgot what I was trying to disconnect. Luckily since I had doubts I would be keeping it, I didn't do my usually t-splice, solder and shrink tube installations, but I used crimp-on connectors, so it wasn't too bad. I fed the power for most of the things either from the power from the cigarette lighter plugs or the aux trailer control harness behind the dash.
This morning I fixed my mirror (since I accidentally snappeda wire on the harness) that I used to power the Radar Detecter and GPS charging. This way the detector and GPS came on automatically.
The interior is done. I used micro-fiber cloths and some goo-gone to gently wipe all of the residue from the pin striping off. Looks good. No scratches or dulling of the paint. Some of the chrome stuff is just not coming off, so rather then damage the paint, I'm just leaving it on. I am taking my chrome hood vent off and replacing it with a factory one. I might be selling that, but I doubt I'll put it on the new one.
There still two things left which I'm about to do now. I need to remove the grill and take my KITT light bar out, and also replace the horn. I bought a dual-horn from eBay, but big surprise, it didn't last not even half the winter, so now it's dead.
The grill is a piece of cake to remove so this shouldn't take long
All I need to do now is take it to get waxed and detailed and it's ready.
And VanSmite: I am not going through this crap again. Instead of trying to save a buck, now that the head units are affordable, on this OR the next (whichever I end up with after Saturday) I'm buying myself a nice in-dash Nav/DVD system with aux outputs. No more of this gadget crap. I'm getting too old for this

Wow, I haven't heard that name on here for a long time!!
Well,I was told it's best to have it as close to stock as possible, especially since itis leased
I did use most of it except for the TV tuner. I took alot of care and time to take this stuff out.
My wife and I looked through everything that is available and IF we can work something out, we are probably going to go with a white or black H3 Lux package. I want to make sure we have seats she will be comfortable with since she has problems with these seats. I'm hoping with the leather, lumbar support and ability to raise and lower the seat, she won't have the problems she has now and can put the heat on if her back hurts.
If not that, then I'm going to figure out something for her seat. I'm thinking about getting one of those heats seat pads or the massaging ones, and get some nice leather seat covers to go over it, so maybe that will make her more comfortable.
We want to take some road trips this year, so that's why I'm trying to do this. Either we do it now, or i'm sticking with this truck and buying an extended warranty. I have a great opportunity now toget one at a great price. Now it's all depedant on payments and so forth.
You could have ate an entire meal and payed the bills while reading this post
