Default Simple question

Hi
So I'm thinking about getting an H2 but I'm not sure how big of a trouble it is with maintenance now that Hummers are out of production. Are the parts a problem and does it share parts with any other GM truck? Any info will be appreciated as it is my childhood dream to own one.

Welcome to HF.

Maintenance parts (those that wear out and require replacement) are not an issue. Just like any other older GM truck.

Certain body parts and trim, can be difficult to come by if you smash it.

Thanks a lot. Somebody got me paranoid with the inf that it's going to be virtually impossible to get parts. This is a good inf. I've dreamed of getting one and finally in a position to buy it.

I've been rebuilding my entire suspension. It's all based on the GM 2500 platform. There's a lot of stock & after market options. Same with the power train. It's 6.0/6.2L mated to a 4L65e/6L80e respectively.

Just as Doc Olds said, hummer-only interior parts are hard to come by.
Buy one with a well kept interior.
