Anyone know the name or how to get the silver piece that surrounds the tow hooks? Thanks in advance

Tainter - your right, I think it's 25979016, Impact Bar. All the ones I find on line, look like they come in stock color, meaning black. I don't see any options for a chrome/silver looking version, like in the picture. Do you think they offered this color as an option, or they just painted it?

They came on 08-09 H3 alphas and 2009 H3T s in silver believe.
The part states it will need to be part silver if necessary.

 

I believe the silver impact bar came on all 08 H3's, not just Alphas.
And changed back to black during the 09 model year.

It's just silver paint, so just paint your present one if you like that look.

 

Any clue what silver paint code? Maybe it would tell you on the box of a new one?

 

Fuggly azzed goofy lookin silver is the official moniker. I would switch to the black in a heartbeat without thinking twice.

In 2008 when they switched to that new shape and color, I always thought it should have a mouth and teeth painted on it. I do not know what they were thinking.

I always thought the silver looked terrible and so did GM. They went back to black in 2009.
