i see the book says to use sil grease on rubber door seals. seems messy as the grease i see is thick and kind of gooey but i guess if rubbed thin and wiped it should work

im snooping around my new sun roof and noticed the edge of window rubber was dirty where it seals up to the roof metal. i wiped it clean figgering the dirt will wear it out . i then wiped it with silicone grease and will check soon to see if it attracts dust

im concerned about that seal since i hear a lot about leaks and plugged lines. i think it has to leak,and drain because it cant be a perfect seal.

i also noticed , underneath, the drive line parts are a dull rust so i brushed on some rust converter stuff, turns black. i never saw rust much on old cars in that area. the clips on the u joint bearings, prob never go out completly but i hit them and both driveshafts.
they were a light brown and took the converter nice.

NICE!!!! Yeah, it becomes a habit!! I waxed all the interior metals inside the engine compartment too! On the ujoints and some other items you've mentioned. I'd love to talk to you and pick your brain over the phone. I had my sunroof go out on me & luckily enough the warranty covered it. I am now in the ending stages of the extended warranty & am getting concerned. My H2 is my daily driver & I use it for work. NOW, I am prepared to spend money in the long run due to N E V E R G E T T I N G rid of my baby. Luckily enough my fiance understands & is for it. lol. But I want to see if you can give me some idea's on some area's I may need to look at that I haven't already and the U JOINT is a concern.

'AeroSpace 303' is great for treating rubber moldings. Non greasy, UV filters, no silicones. I use it on my plastic trim, both interior and exterior. Same principle stuff as Armor All, but much much better!

 

Adams...VRT is the BEST !!!

 

One of my side businesses used to be a detail shop. 303 rocks. By far the best stuff we ever used. I cant stand armor all or anything that leaves a greasy feeling.
