Default side marker lenses

Can anyone explain in detail on how to install the smoked side marker lenses, on a H2. I know how to remove the OEM lenses, but how do I put the smoked lens on?

Thank you.

Aren't they just covers for the stock markers? The stock units are sealed and not serviceable so unless you hacked the hell out of them you can't actually replace the lens.

Yes, they are just covers. However they didn't come with instructions on how to install them. I would possibly have to hack the stock lenses, and remove the board and light.

I purchased the kit below for my 2003 H2. They were just covers with the additional metal bracket. However, for some reason the cover wouldn't sit flush against my existing markers. So, instead we opted to just use the metal surround on top my existing markers but we did tint my markers so they looked black. In order to tint my markers though my performance shop did have to cut the wires and then splice them back together.

I am super happy with the outcome. They look great being black with the metal ring around them.

PS: My truck has no original lights except for these, the two fog lights, and the gauge cluster. Everything else has been upgraded to LED bulbs or new lights.

That is too bad that a shop wouldn't correctly disconnect the harness but cut the wires and splice them back together.....
