Well my H3 is in the shop again !

about the 12th time in 2.5 years....this time its major....

they said the cylinder heads need to be replaced...im over this vehicle...dont think ill ever buy another gm product.

i love the truck itself but the problems i have had over the years ....damn it !

 

what year is it,how many miles

 

heads? i bet its an 06 lol

 

We're 35k miles into our head replacement at 52k miles without a problem. I'd be pissed if it wasn't covered by warranty.

The truck is holding up great after the few assorted other '06 issues were corrected under warranty. Thank God because we didn't lease it!

 

yes 06.....40k miles...

 

What kind of problems were you having? I have an '06 that is getting dangerously close to running out of warranty and I am scared to death of the dreaded "head problem". I have 46000 miles, so only 4k more to blow it up or start crossing my fingers every time I get in it....

 

06 owner here... been to the shop 3 times in the past month for assorted issues as well... 27k miles on mine... check engine light just came on tonight.. sucks!

 

over the past 2.5 years it has been numerous things....

this past month the check engine light came on then went off after about a day....
took it in any ways just to have them check...of course they came back with " just a little carbon bulid up that made it go on and off"

about 2 weeks later it really started to run like crap...
hesitation starting off at lights...idling real low...
then monday i stopped at a light and i noticed all this smoke around me....funny thing i thought it was this car next to me....took off got to the next light and see smoke again this time a motorcycle is next to me...i see him looking all over to see if it was coming from his bike and of course it was coming from my h3...

took it to hummer the next morning and they still have it...turns out the cylinder heads need to be replaced...are you kidding me on 40 thousand miles ? this was my first GM product and will be the last..sorry guys i love the truck itself but its been a nightmare..

before this i had an acura (honda) 3 fords and a toyota...never once did i have any problems with all 5 of those vehicles...

will go back to a f150 harley edition after this...should have kept it in the first place...

in the meantime heres something very funny....im 5'10 225lbs workout every day...twice a day...what did they give me for a rental......

a chevy HHR ! lol
but hey its free....
