Default Shipping VS Old fashioned driving?

I tried posting this previously but I don't think it went live, so here it goes again...
I just purchased my first H1, my dream truck! It's a 2000 wagon located about 1,350 miles from me. Now that it's mine I have two options, I can either ship (which freaks me out a little) or I can fly out and drive (which freaks me out a little). Shipping makes me uneasy because the majority of the shippers I have been in contact with come off a little creepy and sketchy. And driving it freaks me out because of the miles and wear and tear on the vehicle, it would obviously be cheaper for me to drive it back myself but my concern is that I may end up spending more in repairs if something happens on the way home with my baby. Let me know what you guys think, and any reputable shippers that you or others may have dead with in the past.
Thanks!

Ship it. 1350 miles is a long ride in a truck that may surprise you with an unexpected break down. Bolts can come loose, old hoses may burst, fluids can leak and so on. All these things can always happen but are less likely to happen after you familiarize yourself with potential problems. Get it home safe and enjoy it.

Ship it. A hot shot trailer will cost you less than a wrecker bill. 1350 miles is roughly $500 in fuel ( i think) plus your time and a plane ticket. I know a few people that do auto transport. I would have the truck inspected by someone who knows real hummers. Where is it going to and from?

Ship it. You don't know what possible issues it has and you don't want your shake down drive to be a 1350 mile trip that could leave you stranded and the truck in a shop hundreds of miles from home. I've shipped cars a few times, no issues.
