Shifter button sticking(hard to release)sometimes
The button on the shifter sometimes sticks. I did replace the shifter lock solenoid but the white button on it sticks ( not so much sticks as is hard to initially release) sometimes. I can get it to release with thumb pressure or if I pop the shifter button with the heal of my hand. Wonder if anyone has had similar problem and was able to fix.
I've posted about this in another thread and was told the green/ white wire at shifter base should be at zero voltage with brake on and that should release the solenoid to move shifter from park. Not sure if that is true cause my volts were at about 8v. So I cut the wire to test with 0 volts and still have issue with solenoid hard release.
Note. No broken wire at base of shifter. Stop lamp switch was replaced. Park neutral switch on transmission was replaced too.
