Default SERV 4X4

I was out playing in the mud the other night and my SERV 4X4 message came on. I called onstar and they said it was a transmission failure and to take it in within the next 7 days.
Today I was out trying to see what was causing it because it seemed to drive fine still. I eventually discovered that the 4-LO button was stuck pressed in. There must be a little sand or something behind it from the dunes but once I got it popped back out, everything was fine.
Just an FYI if you get the message, start at the switch and work your way through the system.

If you were in 4 lo the entire time you may have problems you don't know about yet or may have shortened the life of several of 4x4 system.

Just goes to prove what I have always said.

"There's beauty in simplicity"

HUMMERs should have shift levers, not sissy push buttons!

I had the same problem with my H3 and my Wife's H3.We took it to the dealer and they said the traction control module malfunctioned. They replaced it with a new one and now its been working fine.
