LW....thanks I will try it tomorrow. One thing I know is that when goin wireless(don't know if you are or not) you should really encrypt your network. Otherwise anyone with a wireless card in their computer can access the internet through your wireless router and can surf the web for free, if they know what they are doin they can also use this free access to your network to jump into your computer steaing important personal info that you may have on your hard drive or that you send via internet, like online banking and bill paying and stuff. Figuring out how to encrypt everything is what gave me the biggest problem but I finally got it fiured out. I have this cool program called radar that when it loads,a round radar grid shows up on your entire screen and in the center of it is your computer. In the radar screen there are dots showing all the wireless connections located in your area, how close to you they are and how strong the signal is. Click on one and it shows you the persons network name, the type of wireless device (lynksys, verizon, etc.) and if it is secured or unsecured. Click on any of the unsecured networks and you are now connect using that persons network. Kinda scary when you see it work, I had 7 unsecured and 2 enrypted networks on my radar screen. Before I could get my network working I had to go online to get help from the router companies webpage so I used my neighbors unsecured ntwork (yes I clled and asked his permission first).

Killer, yes I am wireless. I have my desktop upstairs in my office which is hooked to my dsl combination modem/router and another little wireless device which actually looks like a thumb drive sitting on a little base, a completely wireless printer setup and my laptop downstairs completely wireless. I am secured on my connection yes (I put in a WEP key). At least when I pull up wireless networks available, it shows several - a couple (including mine which are secure) and 1 unsecured one. So, I guess now I really need another router to really be secure eh?

I don't know if you do or not, your system is runniing on a wireless router already and it's encrepted, so your entire network should be secure...Idon
t see a need for another router. I may be wrong or missing something but to me it sounds like you are ok.
