Rusty drive shaft with 550 miles on her!!???
I just finished installing my mud flaps, and noticed my whole freakin drive shaft is completly RUSTED!I know this cant be normal! She has 550 miles on her-thats it! Anybody got the same problem? There are many bolts I saw rusted also. There are rust spots on the bottom of the rear axle where the jack goes. This is not a goodstart, to go from a Lexus to a GM. Is this normal for rust already?

Dennis , in the long run will it diminish the integrity of the shaft. As in terms of pieces/layers slowly coming off. I guess it is all surface area affected only.So I guess the dealer wont do anything .

holy cow. y'all are making me want to go take pics of the belly of the bus. if a little rust freaks you out, i've gota stephen king version for ya. if i can park it just right, i can show the dings in the drive shaft from moab. of course, that would require effort, and if i wanted to do that, i may as well expend it washing the bus . . . . . . You think GM would have coated this! Sorry I am a little disappointed to see her with rust already. My Nissan Titan did not have any rust like this. Oh well , still love the H3!! Yeah baby!!

if your titan was a 4x4, it has an Aluminum Driveshaft.. that's why no rust..
