Yesterday I needed to pick up a "few" bags of marbled rocks for the wife's garden. I placed 42 (40 lb.) bags inside the H3.Do the math! 42 x 40 lbs = 1680 lbs!!! More than 3/4 ton! Layed the back seats down, placed a blanket down, and loaded it up. The beast took it like nothing was different. It didn't even use the helper springs. Adventure / Lux package.
Although, I don't recommend doing this. It's just cool that it worked.

Helper Springs? What's that? Is that something only available in the adventure package?

 

They are thebottom leaf in the rear leaf springs (shortest ones)

Hey Crank, Hows the new house and location working out?

 

I was amazed at how the stiff the rear springs are, under about a 1000lb tongue weight on my trailer the rear end of the h3 sagged about 1/2"....my tahoe sagged about 3"

 

Oh that's right..........I forgot he got transplanted down here in Texas.
