roof rails taken off
just took my roof rails off- since i doubt if i will every use them. Hummer (i think) looks alot better with them off- the question is- I see some people say you get better gas milage with them off. Can this make a difference- i find it hard to believe it will make any difference- but i will check in the coming weeks. By the way-they are for sale if anyone needs rails

I heard that there was a difference in mileage, too.
I did my driving test and found almost no difference.
It would be most noticeable at highway speeds. My problem, is if I'm driving somewhere on the highway, i just might need my roof rack rails, when I get there

It will change it, but not enough to tell without scientifically precise measurement. Your driving style is the biggest factor. I've seen people complain about getting 8mpg in an h2, then someone else drives the vehicle they get 15mpg. There's nothing wrong with the truck - it's the driver's lead foot.

I used to get over 12MPG, then I added a Volant CAI, Magnaflow Exhaust and JBA Headers.......Now I drive it like I stole it and I'm getting 8.5MPG!!!
