Rockers/Nerfbar Bolt Size
test fixtures at most hdwe stores are there because metric and usa are often similar. im just presenting the facts fron the measurement fixture that is there for that purpose.
if you want to believe that loose fitting 3/8 is right then just do it .
the 10 mm bolts that i bought match exactly with the ones i pulled out of my h3. you can do the same just pull an original and line the threads up and its simple to see,,no guesswork.
the 3,8 are close but are no match.
be careful when you get into a critical or expensive part. you could screw it up.
so im done , believe what makes u feel good

For new words to say the same thing!!
I know,,,the 10 mm bolts that dont fit might be wrong pitch??
The 10mm bolts i pulled from my hummer are exactly the same as the ones i bought at ace/lowes. The hummer uses 10 mm bolts.
You can use the wrong size if you want to.
3/8 is indeed a nice loose fit. It could be good so they wont stick when rusted.
Ill try to post a pix of the 10 mm and 3/8 lined up to show clearly the difference for those mechanics who insist on using the proper fasteners.
Then again it might be that my h3 is a special metric version,,,ooops, that would mean my old 07, and my new 10 were specially made of metric parts!!!. Since i pulled the lowering brackets off the 07 and used the same bolts on the 2010. Oh whats a mother to do!!
The simple solution is, take a bolt out of your hummer. Take it to the store and tell the part time, minimum wage clerk you want some to match. The kid with the pimples will be sure you use the right parts!! Thats it!! OH IF THE KID ASKS HOW LONG YOU WANT THEM, BE SURE TO SAY "A LONG TIME,SINCE IM KEEPING MY HUMMER", OTHER WISE THEY ,MIGHT RUN THEM THRU THE RENTAL DEPT,,,
