Has anyone achieved 15 or plus mpg on H2?
#2
I have a 2006 H2 SUT and before I started adding accessories I would routinely get 15 mpg on the highway and would sometimes get up to 18 if I had a tailwind. I have since added a brushguard, tracvision, and mudders to it so I now get around 12-12.5 on the interstate.

It's all about your driving style, pay attention to the tach and where your engine is shifting lower rpms = better mpg if your going above 2k rpms accelerating your taking a significant gas hit. Try and keep acceleration between 1500 and 1800 rpm. The shifts will happen at speed vs your engine rpm. A sweet spot seems to be around 39mph. Here your engine requires little gas to maintain speed and the rpms are around 1100. Watch acceleration up hill and take the 2-3mpg hit and pick it up while going downhill taking care not to give it to much gas. The AC should become less of an issue now but if your running it constantly that also hits your gas millage as you trim out your driving you will notice it's impact more. Following these tips last run I ended at 15.6mpg, at one time I was peeked at 16.2mpg in moderate traffic, I ended the week with a few wrecks on my commute that just killed my millage. If your ac is set low kick it up to 75-77.
