I have the oversize mud flaps and the Adventurer's Package and after doing some brisk driving off road I was surprised to see a good number of stone chips on the rear fenders. Until I can figure out a solution I carry painters tape (applied in several layers)

Hey good idea!..or you could use seveal layers of the that wide clear packing tape...just while you're out trucking.

i believe every word you are saying is true crusingcaraudio, but the point is that i never take mine offroading any.in fact, the 2 1/2 months ive had it i've only had it on the gravel roads one time and that was last weekend when i went to the lake up in the ozark mountains here in central arkansas.where i think i got most of my little rock chips, dings,or whatever else you may call them is from what you you just said about how the tires were made and plus i think it has alot to do with how the rear fender flares out and the high offset of the wheel doesn't help either and it slings debris up off the highway or even bugs could be hitting the rear fenders.cause here in arkansas we got some big bug problem and the highways are not that great.
