Default road rage

Is i just me or do others have issues with people being a holes to Hummer drivers.. Lets see never let you cut in in traffic. brake checks all the time. When in the middle lane coming up on a slow driver the person in the left lane speeds up to try and stuff you!!. God the list goes on. Is it just me or do others have these same issues. I get the number one sign language all the time. I just keep on trucking though. Some days i want to drive through connecticut like the driven a hummer in iraq video I have seen. We are thinking of making up signs for the kids to hold up at these jerks. Can not figure why,,,, jealousy of the truck, mad at me for buying it, feel big because they stuffed a hummer!!!!

Let me tell you today in traffic a guy in aford taurus wagon came inches from hitting me trying to merge. I bounced a nice poland spring granade of his window and it made him back off. But i think he would have hit my truck. He called me the ahole. This was all while he was talking on his cell. which is illegal in connecticut.
Interested in the comments on this one. all input invited. thanks keith d

I've only had my H2 about 4-6 mos now, and when I first told my wife about a similar
phenomenon, she said I was nuts (which is beside the fact).

I think the truth's in the middle.....there certainly are tools out there who will
label themselves as such by driving like idiots in order to get even with those
of us who are "destroying the ozone" [sm=wakeup.gif] with our choice of vehicle
or out of jealousy.....
I think the best thing to do, is to not let them lower you to their level.
The last thing we need is for everyone else on the road with you/me
to see a Hummer driver driving erratically or irresponsibly.

In the burbs people get used to it. Been driving guzzlers forever. Its just a common sight, hummer suburbans escalades excursions and the big ol farm trucks. The worst is really just bumper stickers, I've yet to witness a gas station fight.

Funny, I have the exact opposite problem

I honestly find myself driving like an arrogant ******* since I got my H2...

I parked in a compact car parking spot at the begenning of a rowtonight which was the very first space at a restraunt w/ half the truck sitting up/on/over the curb.

It was almost as funny as when I parked it 3' up ona snowbank at target and the nose was close to 9' in the air.

People hate Hummers for no reason. Try not to give them one. I usually handle those occasions well...usually.

I've only been pulled over by a cop once....No twice!!!

Once was when I first got my CLEAR Cab lenses. I kept the white bulbs in there cause I liked the look but I got a warning cause they HAD to be amber in the front and red in the back.

The other time was that I "rolled" through a stop sign. Mind you it had just snowed and I actually gave the cop **** saying that I SLID, not ROLLED and I was going to fight it...BLAH...BLAH...BLAH, so he ended up just giving me a warning too!!!

Bob with all the practice you get on here no wonder you have the gift of gab. Talking yourself out of two tickets is pretty good.

I have these sort ofproblems usually once a week. the only thing i can suggest and have had great results with is installing police lights in the front grille and bumper, they blend in pretty dag gone well. No cop has seen them yet and if they see you use them on the road it is a felony no questions asked, so be careful. However if they see you use it in a parking lot or such you can say they are just show lights ( like strobe lights) and you should be ok.

all the best

I don't have that problem, people get out of my way. I think they figure it is to much truck for me and don't want me to take them out. There is an awfull lot of big SUVs and farm trucks out here though. I haven't ran accross any fruitloops yet (besides just your average everyday stupid people). My greenie friend gave me all kinds of crap about the truck, but she has been for a few rides in it and absolutely loves it now. Everyone gets all happy when it is mine turn to drive for lunch.
