just picked up a pioneer 5000 audio/video player to replace the stock unit - before i have it installed, need to pick up a radio mounting bracket +module to allow connect to on-star system / steering wheel controls - the module retails for $150 and not sure if it's worth the cost.if good to have, any ideas on where i can get it cheaper (what's the part #) for the module and mounting bracket - thx

 

I just installed a metra single din deck adapter and a PAC OS2-BOSE. This works with the stock stock Bose amp/speakers, but requires an add on for the steering wheel/Onstar. It works as advertised, other than a constant hiss/static through the speakers when the deck is on, vehicle not running. Like if you turned the gain all the way up on an amp. Stay posted and hopefully I will find a solution to this......I am not the first by the sounds of it.
