Replace Broken Lug Studs?
Recently over torqued a lug nut and twisted off a rear wheel stud on my 2006 H-3. Can anyone tell me how difficult it will be to replace? Am hearing that its not a unusual occurrence when torqued by hand over 100 ft pounds for them to seize and die................ Hoping for an easy fix not having to remove much to replace... Can anyone help me? Thanks.
I moved this to the H3 forum section.............
If you would have read my thread telling people DO NOT POST IN the FAQ section, just because you thought up a question, ............. I wouldn't have to move stuff???
Go to the auto parts and buy a wheel stud for the H3, look at it, and I think you will figure it out. They are easy to replace, take the caliper off, remove the rotor, remove the backing plate, knock out the busted one from the outside, pop in the new one from the inside, reverse the steps to assemble.
