Default Removing Onstar .. Rocket switch or any Ideas?

Im looking to remove the so much hated by me "Onstar "

I was looking to install a rocket switch panel for the coming Led work/bar lights plus a couple Usb chargers

Can anyone point which panel size will fit without major mods

I can also mount the switch in a different localization but still need to cover the hole .
Any other idea to cover the Onstar place

A few guys have replaced the onstar with CB radios.
Oddly enough, the space seems to hold a standard CB radio correctly. It's not much help, but it might give you some ideas.

I like On Star. The phone works in areas where my cell doesn't.

Not mine. Makes me somewhat miss the interior of the original H2s though. I just wish I could crowbar in the old climate controls. The new ones suck... Anyways, I digress..

Here's 2 threads about putting a CB in the center console:
Where did you install your CB radio in your H2?

@Synthetickiller ... Thanks .. Very good find .. The guy used the same Onstar face plate mounted on the Cb bin , Not bad .. Still not sure how the Cb radio is going to look but I dont dislike the idea

@calif phil mine never works .. I never paid the service caus i found it too expensive just to get a annoying gps voice which already have in my headunit . An emergency service or a service to found stolen car which most possible is not going to help when needed ( unless you lost your car in a parking lot) , also i can get that with a hidden GPS and a cell app

The Ph service charge is ridiculous, with today Bluetooth tec and unlimited cell plans who wants to pay Onstar for limited minutes ... Also in Miami cell reception is not a problem ... Actually it is .. With people driving while text and surf online ..

Miami,
It should be standard DIN size.
I bought a new OEM cubby for it a few years back, and when I got the cubby I compared it to a single DIN radio and it was the same size.
You could easily get something to fit in there to create your "rocket"/rocker panel

Personally I just pull the some of the cig lighters/ power setups out of the dash panel and replaced those

Looks very factory

Hi Js ... I quit the rocker switch idea . I was looking pics and Imo looks a little cheesy ( jeep thing) . Im going with the standard switch the one that looks exactly as the oem to turn the roof lights
Plan to install on the upper console
For the Onstar we are Debating between a Cb or just a place to store cell and some stuff

Btw sorry the mispelled. I use my cell 99% and write post on it is challenging

Miami,
I figured as such with the typo.
It was either a typo or you were going to James Bond that bitchin *** Hummer up to take care of some Miami traffic

As for the spot, yeah I bought a OEM cubby a while back. Now I know that supposedly they were rumored to not exist or be rare (like the U-step) so I am not sure if you can get one. But then again I can see why a aftermarket single DIN cubby wouldnt work the same with some mods.
