Unhappy Removing the Hood Luvers

Ok Guys...I need help removing the original hood luver to install the chrome one. The instructions look simple but its extremely hard to pull out and I don't want to scratch the paint. If you have an H3 and done it 'Hollar" back please....

The H3's had a recall on the louvers due to them coming loose. The fix was to thave them epoxied in place by the service dept. Most have been fixed as such.

If your louvers have not had the dealer "fix" you could start by pinching the tabs that protrude thru the hood inside. Starting there might give you a chance to get it loose and then try and carefully pry from the top

I bought my 3 last August and was told the recall had been done on mine already. Today it was about 100degrees and I noticed from the drivers seat that the back was lifted up considerably. The front isn't raised up, I tugged on it but I don't believe it's going anywhere at least until I can get to the dealer to get it fixed. May order the hood handles and drill holes through it while it's off

Thumbs up

I have to believe that this as been fix. But it does come up enough to get the front clips on the new luver underneath and use the 3m double sided adheasive black tape to hold the back. The back clips can be removed on the new one by just one screw. It should hold. Let's see...
Thanx you guys...Very hepful
