Good question, I am also thinking about a remote start option for my 03.

I would prefer a factory remote start for obvious reasons, but would consider a nice viper starter/alarm.

Would like people to weigh in with their systems.

 

i got a viper alarm and that messup the factory alarm so now i have 2 broken alarm since i had to turn off the viper because it keep going off every 5 min.. once the snow clear i will get the viper remove and just stay with the factory

 

I have the Viper Smart Start and it works great. Ties into the factory system and I've had zero issues.

I even had it set up with starter kill and some other trick things so that if not dis-armed by the Smart Start FOB the truck will not start. I never take the key out of the ignition..... Coming from an Infiniti push button start and keyless unlock/entry I got in the habit of never taking my keys out of my pocket.

Since I always have my phone in my hand and the key is always in the ignition my keys sometimes never make it out of the house with me.... let alone into or out of my pockets.

 

I also have a viper system on my 04 H2, works awesome.

 

I have the Viper Auto-Start with Alarm....... Works Great, Even programmed it to turn on the heated seats !!! Really nice in Alaska !
