I have 11K on the ticker of my 07 H3Adventure, no problems, and NEVER HAVE BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP! Well, I did have to pick up my license plate from my salesperson a few days after I got it. Mine has been over the river and thru the woods too.

What "sources" did you use that concerned you?
I did a Google search: "Hummer H3 reliability," and read quite a few of them. The latest issue of the Consumer Reports buying guide lists the reliabilty of the H3 as "well below average." I believe it was Business Week that referred to the H3's reliability as "mediocre." And so on...
I once bought a car, and Audi TT, the reliabilty of which was listed as "below average" by Consumer Reports. I never had a lick of trouble with it. I bought the TT because of passion, and I suspect we'll buy the H3 for the same reason.
BTW, there was a test of an H3 Alph on TV's MotorWeek, and it was climbing over the most unbelievable boulders. I can't believe how capable the H3 is!
I don't think reliability ratings are all BS. On the other hand, I have neverseen a top rated model that I liked enough to actually buy!

I've had a number of Hummers but only one H3. It os an H3 Alpha with about 4500 miles on it. No issues at all. Both my brothers had/have H3s and they have had no issues. My younger brother has 50K on his and nothing but normal maintenence. Our Hummers see some pretty interesting terrain ands still no mechanical issues. If you like the H3 buy it, enjoy it and don't worry about it.

We had an 06 H3 and put 21,000 on it with no issues, only normal maintanance. I now have an 3 mo old 07 Tactical that just clicked over 5,000 mi yesterday. The only issues I've had was that my drivers headlight had water in it and the headliner wasn't put in correctly, they fixed both in 1 day and gave me another H3 to drive during the wait. My wife's 08 is still running perfect.

2006 H3 27,000 miles...Had a Front half shaft and front diff. worked on all under warranty. But I have put this little beast through the mill. And have broke both while off roading. I will say you wont find any better customer service than with Hummer. Both times they picked it up and towed it back to the dealership over 180 miles away and provided my with a loaner at no cost. You cant beat that.
