If you look on youtube under "h3 fire" you can see what happened to my hummer... I called gm and 2 days later they closed their investigation without ever looking at my hummer. The report said they closed case because i had insurance.

Call GM and reopen the case if you believe it was the blower harness. If you had any other aftermarket wiring in the dash (stereo, switches, relay, etc.) it will be very hard to prove it was the blower harness.

 

If you had insurance, then I'm not sure what you would gain by having GM reopen the case, other than perhaps getting them to reimburse your deductible. Of course, you may simply want it on record as the cause for NTSB documentation?
