My rear turn signal bulbs keep blowing and was thinking of getting some LED bulbs. I don't really care for getting a new LED housing and I generally don't like how they look anyway. I was thinking that getting some LED bulbs would work but I got some from eBay (Hong Kong) and they don't fit right, although they were sold as 3157s. Has anyone changed to LED bulbs and if so, where did you get them?

 

I think I would try and resolve the issue with your incandescent bulbs blowing, first. You might have an electrical problem that's going to ruin your expensive led's!

 

Check your trailer hitch wiring to make sure it is not rubbing the body between the tailgate and the bumper. There are threads on the subject that you should find if you do a searchl\.

 

One thing you didnt mention is how often your are blowing a bulb. Either way you need to figure out why this happening. Could be as simple as a ground. But you need to figure it out before you attempt new bulbs.

 

measure volts, at startup,,then monitor, ive seen over 15 v in gm.

still never saw bulbs burn
