The two rear hatch hydraulics lift fails , so now the door wont stay open , which also can be dangerous .

Any one knows where to find a better new hydraulics ( aftermarket) version

I think the original aren't heavy enough for such a bulky door ....

call gobi, they have some super hatch supports for the extra weight of ladders for their racks.

 

I replaced mine with some from a place called Auto Zone here in Denver. $25ea. My old ones just wouldn't hold the rear hatch up anymore. Worn out.

Any local parts shop should carry them.

 

Mine were so weak I thought they were worn out and so I replaced them. Got them from autozone or somewhere like that and they are just as weak as the old ones were.

 

I just tried ebay and 2 sets came up. I entered "Hummer H2 rear hatch struts" in the search box
