Hey folks. I have a terrible creaking noise coming from the rear passenger side of my 2007 H3 and from what I can tell (and had a shop tell me) it's coming from the rear/forward leaf spring bushing. Has anyone replaced this? Is it possible to replace while on the vehicle (without completely removing the leaf spring)? I watched a few online videos of guys doing it on other vehicles by jacking the frame up, removing the bolt to expose the bushing, drilling out the rubber all around the bushing shaft and chiseling it out or rigging up a puller to press it out, and pressing in the new one with the same kind of rig. Please comment away!

 

I'm pretty sure it's dirt/grit between the springs. This has several threads about this exact issue. But if it is as you say the bushing just remove the spring from the axle and replace the bushing.
