Default Rear door won't lock

2008 H3 Alpha - My rear door (not one of the side doors) won't lock. It does not lock with the alarm fob or with the driver's side door switch.

any suggestions?

Default very serious problem

ive mentioned this b4 and got ZERO answers! lucky you its not locked because there is no way known to open that door without a torch! unless someone comes up with it now that its a valid topic.

i tried (very carefully) to unlock it while open and locked with the remote, and could find nothing inside that would do it.
i consider it a major problem and id love to be proved wrong!!

i reached in and got pictures of the stuff in there and while rods do move , you cannot manually open the door.

hello gm???

in your case it may be a fuse or open wire but im talking about a perfectly good h3 where nothing can be done. check all wires, connectors etc,,,and pray lots.

Does the dic display any door messages?
Does the interior light stay lit?
If not it may be the actual mechanism itself or as stated the wiring.

- no door messages
- interior light does not stay lit

I will check to see if that mechanism is fused

Thanks

- the rod to the solenoid is connected
- could not find anything listed on the fuse box that looks applicable

Anyone have any other ideas?
