Default Rancho vs Tuff Country???

I am considering a 4" lift for my 2009 Adventure H3. I have looked at both the Rancho and Tuff Country kits available online. Has anybody installed the Tuff Country kit? I have seen it for about $1400.00 whereas the Rancho is routinely about $2300.00. Both kits come with new rear springs, not add a leaves. Each kit indicates that 16" wheels can be used, but not the factory wheels. Does anyone know the backspacing on the factory wheels? Obviously the stock wheels would work in the rear, but because of the new knuckles up front the backspacing needs to be 4.5" or less. Would I be taking a chance putting on a 1" wheel spacer in the front and rear to run the stock wheels?

I forgot to ask one other thing... For those who have the Rancho Kit, are you happy with the rear leaf springs? I read that the early kits had leaf springs that were very stiff. Rancho was supposed to correct this, but I am unsure if they did.

Rancho is better. I have the Tuff Country and it wears heavy on the factory bushings. The Rancho offsets the torsion bars and has extra support for the crossmember. The Tuff Country is OK if your OK with bushing changes every 50k miles...I was running 37's and I'm sure that didn't help either.

I just took the Tuff Country off my 07 adventure and will probably sell it to help mod my '10 Alpha.

Had the Rancho on mine and got rid of it. Too many driveability trade offs for me. For the 4-5 grand for the lift shocks wheels and tires you can set yourself up a whole lot better for the trail and have money left over.
Besides you can almost as much lift with a torsion crank and 35's and shackles in the rear.
