looking for the leak, i started up an heard a little clicking,squealing. it got louder, seemed like the tension pulley. it got softer.
i replaced the pulley the next day even tho it was quiet.
the old one felt as good as the new one so i saved it, in the box!

now hearing some squeal, slight. belt?? not steady but repetitive.
i was also low on steering fluid but no change when added.

anyone using belt dressing spray?
i never hear of it used on serpentine belts??

should i try it?

 

I wouldn't use belt dressing. I think it attracts dirt and starts grinding away at things.

One other thing to check is the Idler pulley on the right side of the motor. Those usually start going about the same time as the Tension pulley goes.

oops i forgot the idler!!! oh my brain!!

 

Is your belt sticky? If so that's where your coolent leak is too.

still have slight oil on pan, front, bottom only, not running down from above. leaky pan?, crack? in aluminum?
