Default Radio changing frequency by itself

Odd issue....over the last few days, after I start my 2006 H2, the radio station will go up by one....example....I listen to 99.7 and about 15 seconds after I start it, it will automatically move to 99.9. This happens on multiple stations daily now but stays constant after I manually switch it back. At first I thought maybe I was pressing something on accident, but today I sat still and it moved on it's own? I have the touchscreen, navigation unit on my H2.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Matt

Consider trying to reboot the entire system. Disconnect the negative cable of the battery and wait a few minutes then reconnect.

When dealing with electrical/electronic issues I prefer to start at the most simple solution and work back.

Next, I would take a look into the steering wheel controls to see if you may have a faulty switch in the steering wheel buttons that work the radio. These can be replaced. I see them on eBay all the time.

If that doesnt work, then you may have to go to the radio and check the wiring connection itself. And lastly, pull the radio out and have it checked.

Good luck.

Default thanks

Did you try and have it fixed three times? What I'm afraid of is trying to have the dealer fix it and pay hundreds only to have them really not know. I saw one other post where it didn't seem as it was ever resolved.

I'd hate to go aftermarket as I have a back up camera add-on installed into the factory unit which I think only works on that unit. I suspect I might lose that if I went with something else.

No I did not try to have it fixed. The Alpine 910 is a awesome unit. I picked it up on ebay for 700.00 and retails for 1200. I was ready for a change. I also have an after maket back up camera and it works fine on mine. They even fixed mine to where my dvds and back up will work driving down the road.
