Radiator & Hose Recommendations (transmission/antifreeze fluid mixed issue)
All,
Unfortunately, I got some terrible news from my mechanic that my radiator on my 2003 H2 ruptured causing my transmission fluid/antifreeze to mix. The good news though is I am told that in my case the transmission itself didn't receive this mixed fluid so I don't need to have transmission serviced.
Now that I need a new radiator though i'd like to get your recommendations on what the best all aluminum radiator is for the 2003 H2. Along with this I need hoses for the heater, radiator, overflow bottle, throttle body - I think this was what my mechanic told me they were.
So, if anyone has gone through this process i'd love your recommendations on a radiator, hose kit, as well as any advice on if a new external transmission cooler system should be setup.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I haven't gone through the process, but one thing most people do is convert to an electrically powered fan. It seems to be an ideal solution to lose less HP, even though it's not on the list.
As for everything else, I got rid of my 03 about 3 years ago & have 09, so I can't really help.

Thanks for the advice.
I have decided to go with the Griffin Performance ExactFit ComboUnit Radiator (Radiator + Electric Fans). For my 2003 H2 the model # is CU-90196. The website gave me the specific model I needed based on my year, make, model and I called to verify some information. The support staff was helpful and suggested I order through Summit Racing to save $200, which I did. The final price was about $1,250.
For the hoses I went with the Gates Hoses as recommend by @Calif phil. The website told me everything I needed based on my trucks year, make, model. It didn't let me purchase through the site but it gave the model of each needed hose and I got them all from eBay. The hoses were about $120.
I still need to order the specific Jiffy-Tite fittings as required by Griffin but I can't find the exact ones so i'll let my mechanic track them down while I wait for these to arrive.
Thanks again!

since your replacing the radiator that already failed im guessing the new one might not have that issue but its also a good time to do it if your thinking about it, plenty of affordable tranny coolers at summit, its the first thing I did to mine
Excellent choice on the radiator. If I bought a quality USA made radiator like you did I doubt I would add an external trans cooler. If I bought a cheap Chinese radiator I would for sure add the external cooler. Take some pics for us.
Thanks! Will do.
I added tge tranny cooler about 3 month ago and the temp stay at 150 no matter what you do . I highly recommend it . Plus if a new rupture in the rad happens you may not be so lucky with the transmission
