not a bad idea,but i will probably just cut some out w/ the plasma cutter,its just as easy,i will have enough wrapped up in this thing w/ just materials,i just hope gunner will want it when its all done[sm=gears.gif]

I dont imagine youll have a problem with weight. The spare tire mount attaches to the inner rails of the door which are pretty beefy. I have a spare tire mount bike rack and I've had 3 bikes bouncing around back there with no problems at all. Not to mention the Gobi ladder that essentially mounts to the same framing as what the spare tire is attached to.

i will add some extra support if you need me to,i would think just a ratchet strap should hold her fine

 

that was the main reason for putting the "h" on the side so you can hook your strap to that crossbar
