Default Question about towing your H3

I just bought a Blue Ox tow bar, because I want to be able to tow my H3 behind my bus sometimes. The question I have is, has anyone ever created something to connect a tow bar where the D rings are? Those are obviously connected to the frame. I don't see why it would be an issue. At first, I thought about making a new bracket to bolt where the D ring bracket mounts. But now thinking I can make a new end piece for the Blue Ox that attaches to the existing mount and leaves the D ring in place. The existing Blue Ox end has three fingers on it, that slips over a two prong piece. I'm thinking that I can make a solid piece that slips inside the D ring mount. I'd just have to take the D ring bolts out and make a bar I can easily take in and out. What do y'all think?

What about a plate that goes between the tow hooks and the frame. Probably sticking out above tow hooks. Then you could mount your tow bar when you need it but not cause a lot of crazy machining.

2nd the mounting plate that sandwiches between the bumper and the D ring mount. Those bolts are plenty long for a 1/4" plate.
Just like a brush guard does.

I've got the parts at the machine shop now. I'll post some pictures when it's all done. Thanks for the input.
