I have a 2006 H2 SUT and I don't want to remove the spare tire to tow my camper. I had an extension and drop made so that I can hook the trailer up but the distance is about 18 inches from the 'bumper' How much do you think this decreases my towing capacity? Any one have any suggestions on a better way to deal with this?

 

It doesn't change the overall weight pulling wise if done properly, but it can change the tongue load rating. As far as how much, hard to say for sure. If you are using a weight distribution set up with tow bars it will help you counter act it to a certain extent when properly set up.
