Recently purchased and have some questions about the factory keyless entry system.

1. Is there a way to have a horn to confirm lock and unlock like most cars?
Mine only the lights flash.

2. Can any remote start or aftermarket alarm system be installed? Are they any immobilizers on the 2006 H3?

3. When I put the gear into Drive, it locks by itself and unlocks when I put it back into Park. Is this a standard feature and can it be disabled?

4. Is my factory unit just a keyless entry or has some type of antitheft ?

btw,most people are killing the obnoxious horn beep like yours already is,unless your ego demands it,,,at 2am,,,waking neighbors,,,

 

4u33er; I am looking for he same, I bought a used 06 H3 for my daughter and it is nice to have the confirmation that the doors are locked when walking away. I'll let you know if I find anything and you do the same. Thx.

I found the user manual online and have it setup the way I want it now.
