You're absolutely right, I can't tell you how many vehicles I've lost because someone walked up to my ride while I was in a store and looked at the VIN number on the windshield.

They really need to come up with some kind of title system that determines the sole owner of a vehicle.

I have a 21' Cuddy and tow it with my H3 Adventure all the time. Tows way better than our Grand Cherokee did with a V8 in it. The rear doesn't even squat. Granted, I live literally 15 minutes from the lake I take it on and never tow for extended periods. Pulling it out of the launch, the H3 doesn't know it's back there. I'm not sure on the weight but it's got to be close to 3500lbs.

Lemme guess, your about 16 right?

Honestly, I think you can find all the answers you seek by searching either here on the forum or google or the owners manual.

Use the following chart to determine how much your vehicle can weigh, based upon your vehicle model and options.
Engine Axle Ratio Maximum Trailer Weight **GCWR
Automatic Transmission 4.56 4,500 lbs (2 041 kg) 9,500 lbs (4 309 kg)
Manual Transmission 4.56 3,000 lbs (1 364 kg) 8,000 lbs (3 629 kg)
**The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) in the total allowable weight of the completely loaded vehicle and
trailer including any passengers, cargo, equipment and conversions. The GCWR for your vehicle should not be
exceeded.
