Default Prospective H3T Owner, Adventure VS Offroad Package? Very Confused...

Hi guys,

Well in 3 months I will be in the market for an H3T. I’ve wanted one since new, but financial situations said otherwise!

Anyhow, I am a bit confused by the packages available. I want the front and rear lockers and all the goodies, but I’m confused about the difference between the Adventure package and just the off-road package. The adventure package says it includes the off-road package, so I’m a bit confused on exactly what is added with the adventure package over just the offroad. I also must have the 5 speed (rare I know), but I can wait to find the right one. I know both packages include the 4:1 transfer case with the 5 speed.

There are two on Autotrader right now, and both of them have front and rear lockers, but they don’t have the great looking black steel wheels I’ve seen on the adventures?

Also, any changes between the packages from 09'-10’ ? Any info would be very helpful! Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Eric

They are the same. The only difference is a Flexfuel engine is in the Alpha version which does not come with a 5 speed manual. Spend a little time searching and reading these fourms and you will know more about the T and the 3 than 95 percent of the dealers selling them. Good luck and Happy Hunting. Welcome to the Hummer Forums.

Thanks RKsmith!

So there is no difference between just the offroad package and the Adventure package? I have done a lot of searching, but the adventure package did cost more on the i5 models, so it has to do something over just the offroad package. It also says the adventure package includes the offroad package…

Like Tainter said - "Adventure" is the I5 package and "offroad" is the Alpha (V8) package. Since the H3t came out the same year they went to front and rear lockers instead of rear only, you don't have to worry about rear lockers only on a T. However, don't trust what you read in the ads, look for a picture of the center console. If it's an Adventure/offroad it will have locker buttons above the radio on the right side, those buttons are the only way to be sure. Do a search on here, photos showing what to look for have been posted a number of times. Most dealers seem to be clueless, I've seen plenty of ads for an Adventure, or ads listing lockers, for luxury or base model only trucks. My T was advertised as a base model and I ignored the ad for it for a couple months until they updated the ad with extra pictures - turns out it's a Luxury + Adventure model.

What light bars are these? I love them. Been looking for a set, was considering factory light bars, but couldn't find any that looked right. These are great, can you tell me where to find them?

Sorry about the long wait, they are SMA roof light bars. I have a set on the front and rear the light output isn't the best but its better then nothing. They don't make then anymore and I've one seen one other set beside my own. In the near future I'll get a roof rack and a 40" LED light bar and post both the bars for sell. Just keep and eye open for the.

Will do! In fact you could even PM first to see if you had a buyer already, ;-)
